Be Anger Free
Once upon a time there was a boy who had bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the wall. The first day the boy had driven eighty nails into the wall. Over the next few weeks as he learned to control his anger the number of nails hammered gradually reduced. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive nails out of the wall.
Finally the day came when he did not lose his temper. He told his father how he overpowered his anger; in turn his father suggested him now pull one nail out of the wall for each day he was able to hold his anger. Days passed by and the boy told his father that all the nails were plugged out of the wall, to which father suggested to have a look at it. He asked him to look closely at the holes in the wall; boy realized that his nails in the wall had left a permanent scar, which could not be nullified by simply pulling the nails out of the wall.
“When one utters our foul words in anger, they leave a scar just like that of the nails on the wall. Out of anger one may slap a person on his face but no amount of apology can compensate the deed. Similarly, a verbal outrage is as bad as a physical one.”
Our friends, family, relatives and loved ones are very rare, they make us smile and encourage us to excel. They lend us shoulder in times of distress; respect them and accept them with open heart. Making human, anger free is a tough task; however we can inculcate positive attitude in ourselves to replace negative vibes thereby nullifying anger perpetually.
