What is Prabhu Kripa (1)

PrabhuKripa is a poetic version of collection of some poems which are totally based on Satya Sanatan Hindu Dharma alongwith Adwaitavada of Brahma. Basically, Prabhukripa is composed of more than hundred stanzas; every stanza consists of four lines with an additional rhythmic line. Inside this, another sub-poem named as “PRABHU MAHIMA” which is based on “Chautisa form” is composed of more than forty stanzas. Every stanza starts within an ascending order of Oriya alphabets, i.e., A, Aa, E, EE, ... The Prabhukripa wholly is a pure, no-dualism – Brahmabad, supreme consciousness, eternal knowledge based spiritual book where piety have attained immeasurable bliss, ultimate tranquility, indescribable happiness, inexplicable peace, after studying the whole poem.

A period when people assumed idol worship is the best way to get liberation and this is the way to follow the religion, people began to forget the fundamental and essential principles of true religion, and what religion is. People become indifferent to "Parambrahma" who is the prime cause and creator of all creations? “Dharma Dharyatee Itee Dharma, who had created all the universe and taken care of them and being realised that truth to obey thy creator-Prambrahm is known as Dharma.” From that period Guru Mahima Swami made his own revelation and enlightened as a full manifestation of Maha Mahima Maya Pravu Parambrahm to this visible world and re-established the eternal true religion (Dharma) for the welfare of mankind. Regarding this, Mahima Dharma follows all the principles of Satya Sanatan Hindu Dharma followed by Veda, Upanishada and Shastras.

Hence, if we say it is none other than Mahima Dharma is the true religion, it must be acceptable (Refer: Principles of Mahima Dharma). Mahima Dharma represents the original Sanatan Dharma because it belief that Brahma alone is the cause of the creation, preservation and destruction. And the Mahima cult believes in a casteless society, recognition of one God, i.e., Parambrahma without a second, abandonment of external rituals or worship of Idol, thinking always of the good of mankind and constantly surrenders himself in body, mind and speech to Anadi, Alekh & Abyakta.

"Sarbe Bhabntu Sukhina
Sarbe Santu Niramaya
Sarbe Bhadrani Pashyntu
Maa Kaschit Dukh Bhagbhbet."

Theme of Prabhu Kripa (2)

Writer's View

In PRABHU KRIPA, I have tried to represent briefly the origin, philosophy, principle and day-to-day practices of Dharma as usual as overall obligation to Parambrahma in a poetic verse with Oriya medium. In fact, no discussion or discourse is possible without referring to holy and authoritative religious books as like as Mahima dharma’s books. It is necessary to attempt a real picture of the real life of all living beings with special reference to the literary and creative aspects. It is impossible within a small pen and paper to give the exact sketch of the day-to-day life activity of people and thoughts for the realisation of Brahma without thinking or realising that Guru Brahma Mahim Alekh Swami. In “Prabhukripa” without confined to Mahima Dharma’s Granth along with books of saint poet – Bhim Bhoi and Brahmabadhut – Biswanath Baba I never tried to put extra-ordinary thoughts of mine. (Biswanath Baba, whom I personally met at Joranda Gadi in his last stage at the age of 98 years he blessed me when I was 14 years).

According to late Brahmabadhut Biswanath Baba (a saint, self-realiser of Mahima Dharma), this dharma is of pure non-dualism (Visuddha Adwaitavada) and it points-out that the world is created by one Ultimate Being who is beyond all categorisation not by another principle called Maya or Avidya in addition to the Ultimate Reality as preached by Sankara in his Adwaitavada. And also Baba pointed out that the path of complete devotion and self-surrenders to the Supreme Being as advocated in the Mahima Dharma leads to salvation and immortality.

Hallmark of Mahima Dharma (4) Satyadharmavani

The hallmark of this religious movement was total renunciation part of the followers who adopted Sannyasa.

Sannyasis are found to obey Sannyas dharma or Abadhutashram as-

1. Abadhutashram based on sacrifice, simplicity, austerity, celibacy, nonviolence, truth, freedom from passions etc. for the good of mankind and the devotees.

2.   They were tour one place to another place in naked foot without any vehicle to preach spiritual religious teaching and sanskar to common people.

3.   Eyes are to be fixed on the ground while going from one place to another.

4.   They were required to travel constantly for alms (to survive) not more than one meal from any house.

5.   They took only sattwic pure simple one principal meal in the day times before sunset and after sunrise nothing in the night. They were taking meal only to survive not survive to take meal.

6.   They should not order any kind of food to be specially cooked. No food is to be stored for tomorrow. They are taking food under the open sky.

7.   They were not to stay more than one night in any village in any circumstances. Spending one night in one village only, like an “atithi” accepting food only once in one house.

 8.   And also they were stayed in separate place like Monastery, Tungi, Ashram, or School, Cattle-shed if not possible than beneath the open sky under the tree. No fixed residences are to be owned for residing on one place for consecutive days.

9.   Mahima Gosain converted 92 persons as Balkaladhari Sannyasis and 80 persons as Kaupindhari Sannyasis according to activities and dedication of sannyasis. Later on followers were converted to sannyasis in large numbers by following their Guru and Guruvani.

10. Balkaladhari sannyasis were taking no clothes even in heavy rain or bitter cold / hot. Only they have been wearing the bark of tree (Kumbhipatta-Careya arborea Rexb.) to hide himself from vulgarity.

11. They have knowledge of Ashtadhyayee, Mahabhyasha, Veda, and Upanishads along with real education of philosophy of life. Most of them are well-versed about Sanskrit language.

12. They have no materialistic property, wife & son and they were far away of these three things. Even, Balkaladhari Sannyasis do not touch a single penny for their own uses.

13. All human beings are their mother, father, sister & brother according to their respective ages, but none of them are close blood related in the sense of a monk.

14. In Mahima Dharma the women are forbidden to join the sannyas group. But they can lead a detached life in their own family, if they have achieved austerity and sacrifice.

15.  Mahima Swami- preacher, profounder of the Mahima cult, had taken eternal blissful samadhi and left for Mahasunya, Mahanityapura on Monday 10th lunar day of Falguna at 5:22 P.M. in 1876 A.D. at Joranda (Dhenkanal district of Odisha), the place noted as Dev Bhumi of Odisha or Guru Mahima Gadi.

16. Sanyasis as well as Pilgrims get together from various part of country in Joranda on full- moonday of Magha which falls in February of every year, to give obligation or to worship in the holy shrine of Mahima Swami where he had taken last breath (samadhi).

Real Objective of Mahima Dharma (5)-Satyadharmavani

1.   The real object of Satya Mahima Dharma is to bring about a harmony in society by preaching one sect and one god (Brahma) for all. There are no various types of God in this universe. The one and only Absolute pure lord Param Brahma is the originator, creator and saviour of the Animal kingdom.
2.   All are capable of worship/pray Brahma. Worship of one god (Brahma) by all irrespective of class, caste and creed brings a great revolution in society, but it develops inner consciousness among all believers of Brahma.
3.   Another important aspect of Satya Mahima Dharma is to demolish caste system. Mahima Dharma has not believed in caste system and proclaiming equality of mankind before Parambrahma.
4.   Mahima Dharma has attempted to bring out social reformations like abolition of child marriage, prohibition of animal sacrifice (victimism) to appease deities for material benefit and that of practicing magical religious methods for curing diseases.
5.   Mahima Dharma has devised a simple and less costly method for death (funeral works) or birth (naming) and marriage ceremonies without luxurious and expansible way.
6.   Mahima Dharma believe in Oblation/Dhup using log of dried sandalwood, Bael tree, Neem tree or Peepal tree offering ghee as ignition by which nature would be purify and it may brings rain to fertile barren land and this Dhup will in bringing peace back to the earth.
7.   Acceptance of Mahima Dharma is primarily based on personal choice of an individual (who himself is converted to the sect) without affecting other family members. There is no compulsion that children and grand-children of the followers must initiation this sect. That is depending upon their choice.
8.   Some orthodox peoples are main opponent of Brahma Smaran, still without any misconception it makes unity of the society and creates national integration of the world.
9.   Mahima Dharma believe in whole world is one family i.e. ‘‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’’. All creatures of the world are close related and depend upon each others. Mahima Dharmi prays Alekha Prabhu to bless the entire universe for their peace & happiness. So Mahima Dharma always says through saint poet, Bhima Bhoi that

‘‘Pranika aarata dukha apramita dekhu dekhu keba saehu;
Moo jivan pachhe narke padithau jagat uddhar haeu’’.

10. Idealism cannot be accepted by illiterate people unless some material benefits are added to it. Therefore, it is difficult on the part of Mahima sect, a poor organisation without any financial resources to stand in competition before this materialistic, blind-believers society.
11. Mahima Dharma is a unique Dharma where no one can in luxurious life maintained by sect and materialistic attachment with society but, it based on philosophy and scientifically analysis reasoning of life and also here the source of knowledge (Aatmagyan) preached by sanyasis without any cost to make one perfect.

Principles of Mahima Dharma (3)-Satyadharmavani

Mahima Dharma was taken as a sect of Hinduism. According to Veda, Upanishad as per Hindu religion we should obey some common rules or code of conduct which is followed by Satya Mahima Dharma-Sanyasis as well as Ghruhastis, such that:

20. Intoxicants, specially drinking and smoking are strictly prohibited.
21. Theft and sexual intercourse with other women must be avoided and should not covet others’ wealth. Other women should be treated as mothers.
22. They should spend leisure by Hymn (Bhajan, Kirtan and Smaran) of Parambrahma.
23. The useless and unholy books are to be avoided and holy and authoritative religious books are to be studied.
24. Any type of English medicine is prohibited. They should believe in Parambrahma with heart that can cure disease.
25. They should not use any metal ornaments to fluctuate mind within the varieties of ornaments.
26. They should not use costly clothes and should use Gairik Basan (Gerua Bastra) which is colored by natural soil, who gives protection from any bacteria and viruses.
27. The followers should not take non-veg. in food and always take vegetarian food item and must obey non-violence as their first attitude in life.
28. The devotees should always be in the company of the holy and be engrossed in deeds, should refrain from evil company and unholy deeds and practices.
