ABOUT COW-URINE
No need to say that, Cow is a source of health, wealth and
happiness. Indians believe that cow urine enhances holiness and purity when
spread in courtyard and home. According to Ayurveda
Cow urine plays a major part in Hindu practices and rituals and its curative
properties are claimed in Charaka Samhita texts. The medicinal usage of Panchgavya,
particularly cow urine is practiced in Ayurveda. Cow Urine
(gomutra), is a natural antiseptic and in Ayurveda it is known as ‘Sanjivani’.
Cow urine destroys miseries and diseases. It purifies both body and mind.
In Mahabharat era Nakul was known as the famous cow urine
therapist.
Cow urine has a unique place in Ayurveda, the ancient Indian
system of medicine. It is used in purification of many strong poisons and sub
poisons, metals and sub metals, ras and maharas, and astrologist stones. Cow
urine is used to produce a whole range of ayurvedic drugs, especially to treat
skin diseases.
Importance of Cow-urine
Cow-Urine balances 3-doshas, reduces fats, increases immunity, purifies blood, and increases life span.
Antidote - Gaumutra is able to cleanse the system of toxins and acts
as an antidote that protects the body from various types of poison.
Excessive use of any medicine leaves some residue in our body. This residue
causes diseases. Cow urine destroys the poisonous effects of residues and makes
body disease free.
Eye drop - When used as an eye drop, it is very effective in treating
all manner of eye infections.
Insecticide - Gaumutra can also be used as an Eco-friendly
household disinfectant and natural insecticide.
Many useful elements have been found in Cow Urine. Some of them
are as given below:
Urea:
Urea is a major element found in urine and is the end product of protein
metabolism. It is strong antibacterial agent.
Uric acid:
Uric acid is similar to Urea and has strong antibacterial properties. In
addition it helps to control cancer-causing substances.
Minerals:
Urine becomes turbid if left alone for a while. This
is because when enzyme present in urine dissolve urea and change it into
ammonia then urine becomes strongly alkaline making it difficult to dissolve
rich minerals. Therefore stale urine looks turbid.
This does not mean that it has decayed Urine with a higher ammonical disorder
content when applied to the skin plays an important role in beautifying it.
Urine probably contains more different types of minerals than
those derived from food and it can be very easily reabsorbed.
Calcium - It purifies
blood & provide nutrition to bones; helps in coagulation of blood.
Copper - It checks
excessive deposition of fat.
Iron - It maintains RBC
counts in blood and stabilizes stamina.
Manganese - It is antibacterial and prevents gas gangrene.
Nitrogen - It is diuretic & stimulates kidney naturally.
Phosphate - It has lithotrophic action.
Potassium - It is appetizer and criminates muscle fatigue.
